Cross Valley Link – ‘ground breaking’ event by The Walters-Sisk JV Team
Directors from The Walters-Sisk JV joined with the Leader of the Rhondda Cynon Taf Council (and Cabinet Member with responsibility for Highways), Andrew Morgan, for a sod cutting ceremony at the Mountain Ash Cross Valley Link site.
Welsh local infrastructure success for Walters/Sisk JV
A joint venture between Walters and Sisk have been selected by Rhondda Cynon Taf Council to design and build their flagship Mountain Ash Cross Valley Link scheme. The £8.0m scheme – scheduled for delivery by 2020 – involves the significant construction of a new 60m bridge over the River Cynon and the Aberdare to Cardiff main railway line.
Schools out – for good
Once cleared, the site was re-profiled by Walters GPS controlled bulldozers, excavating, filling and compacting over 5,000m3 of subsoil. After just six short months, the site was cleared and declared fit for the residential development to commence, much to the delight of the client.
