With the UK increasing its use of recycled goods and materials all the time, this growing market sector covers everything from blast furnaces by product slag, through metals and building aggregates, to paper and even food. Each sector has its challenges and industry specific demands.

Gorrel have plant on long-term rental at a number of the UK’s leading recycling facilities, for market-leading names like Veolia, Biffa and Viridor among many others. It’s employed to handle a huge variety of substrates, from food waste to plastics and cans at these locations from Scotland to Southampton.


We identify and specified the most appropriate plant for the individual client and location requirements. Having access to the latest kit from established, market-leading manufacturers at our disposal. We also ensure operator comfort and maximum efficiency prevail at all times. Safety is a major consideration with all machines being retrofitted with warning lights and High-Vis decals to enhance visibility on site.

Specific wheel/tyre combinations and material handling modifications (which best suit the product area or operating circumstance) are considered and we ensure the plant selected is appropriately equipped for the job at hand. New plant is delivered to site using our own dedicated heavy haulage service. On occasion, we even modifiy and re-purposed existing plant to suit changing circumstances and handling requirements, obviating the need for replacement.

With certain products producing corrosion hazards, at-risk parts like hydraulic hoses, joints, electrics and bearings (for example) can need more frequent maintenance. This is handled by our nationwide team of home-based, factory trained technicians
